You need JavaScript enabled to view it Mike is Vantage Strategy's chief business strategist with extensive experience in the practice of research, sales, online marketing, and distribution. Prior to founding Vantage Strategy, Mike served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Strategy for the Travel Industry Association of America (TIAA). During his tenure he developed the "strategy" to re-structure the organization resulting in a 60% increase in overall operating revenues in two years while diversifying revenues streams and flows. He previously served as Marriott's first Vice President of Interactive Account Sales and Marketing, where he led in the development and launch of Marriot.com. Earlier in his career he worked for Holiday Inn as Corporate Director of Interbrand Marketing and Avis Rent-a-Car in Hotel and Airline Marketing. He also served as Chief Marketing Officer for Proxicom, an internet consulting firm where he participated from start up phase to IPO through the ultimately successful sale of the company. Mike has served as an adjunct professor in the University of Maryland MBA program as well as Cornell University's Professional Development Program. He has co-authored two books on relationship management, Unlocking Profits and The Trust Imperative. As COO, he is responsible for the successful development and execution of management processes to support growth. As a founding partner in Vantage, Ben also brings a wealth of business strategy, sales process management, and online marketing expertise to Vantage Strategy's clients and project teams. He has extensive experience in search engine optimization and online marketing placement. Prior to Vantage, Ben co-founded Solimar Marketing & Travel where he directed a team of creative designers and programmers to develop online solutions for private tourism businesses and destinations in numerous countries. His work included cluster development, business development training, sustainable tourism certification, development and implementation of travel product sales strategies, international representation, and travel trade seminars. Ben presents regularly at The George Washington University's School of Business on search engine optimization, online marketing and aspects of Web 2.0. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Conservation from Catawba College in North Carolina. He is responsible for delivering innovative growth solutions to Vantage clients by combining high impact, online sales and marketing channels such as social and mobile media with traditional growth channels. Michael's unique point of view is rooted in his extensive advisory experience to Fortune 500 executives at industry leaders including American Express, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Fidelity Investments, General Electric, Goldman Sachs, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Marriott, Merck, Microsoft, Xerox and more. Previous to joining Vantage, Michael was Founder and President of a digital marketing and web design firm where he effectively translated clients' macro growth strategies into clear marketing visions, succinct messaging, tactical campaigns, and end-use collateral resulting in faster growth at lower cost. Additionally, Michael spent over fourteen years with the leading Go-to-Market consulting and outsource firm in various instrumental leadership and account management positions where he helped grow the firm from start-up to over $40 million in sales. Michael holds a Bachelors of Science in Commerce, cum laude from The McIntire School of Commerce at The University of Virginia. Prior to Vantage, he was Executive Vice President for IHS Global Insight and head of its Travel & Tourism Practice. Ken directed both existing client relationships and spearheaded new development efforts, particularly in the functional areas of market research, economic impact assessment, and resource planning. In his 30 years in economic and strategic consulting, Ken has developed an expertise in research and planning methods that has been successfully applied to business problems in a variety of corporate and government settings. He is particularly known for his work in combining primary market research with traditional economic and industry analysis. Ken has considerable project experience in the gaming, hospitality, attraction, and transportation sectors. He was instrumental in the original development and management of Wharton Econometric Forecasting Associates' (WEFA) Tourism Practice. A particular focus of Ken's work has been in tourism economic impact assessment. He has executed tourism impact studies for over 25 countries, 28 states, and 30 U.S. cities. Moreover, Ken's expertise has often been called upon to estimate the economic impact of specific destinations, attractions, convention facilities, resort/hotel developments, events, and tourism policy decisions. He is a frequent presenter at industry trade events, Governor's conferences on tourism, and supplier strategy meetings. Ken holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts (ABD) in Economics from West Virginia University. He and his team apply a systematic approach to building measureable social marketing campaigns, mobile media platforms, search engine optimized websites, and online media placement programs for profitable growth. Lane is a highly creative and multi-talented graphic designer who brings over 16 years of experience in multimedia marketing, print and web design to Vantage Strategy. In addition to graphic design, Lane is also an expert in Content Management Systems and Open-Source platforms as a means of web development. At Vantage, he serves as chief Project Manager for all online and creative client projects. Previous to Vantage, Lane has worked with clients including PriceWaterHouseCoopers, The World Bank, University of Cambridge and Detica. He served as Lead Graphic Designer, Director of Web Strategy, and Public Relations Director for Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. His design career started with Houghton Mifflin publishing headquarters in Boston, MA. Since joining Vantage, Lane has helped to create adVISE, a social media training course, and has presented at The George Washington University's School of Business on social marketing and Web 2.0 development. Lane holds dual Bachelor degrees from Salisbury University and the University of Maryland, as well as his Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Teresa is a marketing and research expert on Mexico's tourism industry and leads Vantage Strategy Consulting’s efforts to help Mexican destinations market to the U.S. consumer. She was most recently the CEO for the Center for Advanced Studies in Tourism, Mexico Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR), where she directed tourism research and technology development projects for Mexico's tourism sector. While at SECTUR, Teresa developed the 2007-2012 National Tourism Research Program, which included strategic guidelines, institutional redesign and the creation of a National Research Fund. Teresa also spent five years with the Mexican Tourism Board, where she managed marketing planning and later headed the organization's research efforts. During her tenure, she launched the first co-op advertising program in the US and Canada and pioneered the Mexican Tourism Board's market research program and Marketing Intelligence System. |
