Mike Pusateri | President and CEO

Mike is Vantage Strategy's chief business strategist with extensive experience in the practice of research, sales, online marketing, and distribution. Prior to founding Vantage Strategy, Mike served as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Strategy for the U.S. Travel  Association. During his tenure he developed the "strategy" to re-structure the organization resulting in a 60% increase in overall operating revenues in two years while diversifying revenues streams and flows.

He previously served as Marriott's first Vice President of Interactive Account Sales and Marketing, where he led in the development and launch of Marriot.com. Earlier in his career he worked for Holiday Inn as Corporate Director of Interbrand Marketing and Avis Rent-a-Car in Hotel and Airline Marketing. He also served as Chief Marketing Officer for Proxicom, an internet consulting firm where he participated from start up phase to IPO through the ultimately successful sale of the company.

Mike has served as an adjunct professor in the University of Maryland MBA program as well as Cornell University's Professional Development Program. He has co-authored two books on relationship management, Unlocking Profits and The Trust Imperative.

Mark Routson

Mark serves as Vantage Strategy's Chief Operating Officer (COO). He has extensive expertise in information technology and infrastructure, strategy and operations consulting, product management and program management, gained from a diverse background with Fortune 500 and 100 companies. As COO, he is responsible for technology direction of Vantage Strategy offerings, technology partnerships, and best practice consulting frameworks. Clients have included government agencies, and firms from $3M to $26B in gross revenues.
His previous roles have included CIO and VP of Systems Engineering, and Senior Program manager. His previous experience has been to operationalize and adapt best practice business capabilities for firms to enable improved and sustainable business execution.
Mark’s academic background includes an MBA from the Smith Business School, University of Maryland College Park (UMCP) where he focused on Management Information Systems (MIS), and Entrepreneurship, a school acknowledged as top 10 nationally for MIS. Lane Douglas | Executive Vice President

Lane leads Vantage's Online Marketing Services practice where he designs and delivers innovative solutions to our clients’ marketing and sales effectiveness challenges. He and his team apply a systematic approach to building measureable social marketing campaigns, mobile media platforms, search engine optimized websites, and online media placement programs for profitable growth.

Lane is a highly creative and multi-talented graphic designer who brings over 16 years of experience in multimedia marketing, print and web design to Vantage Strategy. In addition to graphic design, Lane is also an expert in Content Management Systems and Open-Source platforms as a means of web development. At Vantage, he serves as chief Project Manager for all online and creative client projects.

Previous to Vantage, Lane has worked with clients including PriceWaterHouseCoopers, The World Bank, University of Cambridge and Detica. He served as Lead Graphic Designer, Director of Web Strategy, and Public Relations Director for Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. His design career started with Houghton Mifflin publishing headquarters in Boston, MA.

Since joining Vantage, Lane has helped to create adVISE, a social media training course, and has presented at The George Washington University's School of Business on social marketing and Web 2.0 development.

Lane holds dual Bachelor degrees from Salisbury University and the University of Maryland, as well as his Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Kevin Atkinson

As Chief Financial Officer, Kevin directs all strategic and tactical financial aspects of the Vantage business.  In addition, Kevin is an integral Vantage team member involved in business development, strategic client development, multi-disciplinary team management, finacial analysis and tools assessments as well as project delivery. 
Kevin brings to Vantage his 26 years of expertise and experience as a business entrepreneur, CFO, consultant, business development executive and auditor in a variety of industries.  In addition, he was responsible for creative solutions serving angel investors to help construct initial funding and go to market strategies. 
Kevin also serves on for profit and non-profit boards including Kodiak Funding, a specialty finance company.  Kevin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from James Madison University. 
 
Cynthia Adams

Cynthia oversees all aspects of planning and logistics for Vantage programs and events, which focus on marketing with in the travel and tourism industry. Prior to joining the Vantage Strategy team, Cynthia was a consultant and independent contractor in the areas of incentive travel, meetings and events management, and strategic fundraising strategy. Her work has required extensive travel both domestically and internationally for clients including the United States Air Force, Maritz Travel Company, and American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

Cynthia holds a BA in Communication Arts from Allegheny College.

Teresa Solis Photo
Teresa Solis | Vice President

Teresa is a marketing and research expert on Mexico's tourism industry and leads Vantage Strategy Consulting’s efforts to help Mexican destinations market to the U.S. consumer. She was most recently the CEO for the Center for Advanced Studies in Tourism, Mexico Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR), where she directed tourism research and technology development projects for Mexico's tourism sector.

While at SECTUR, Teresa developed the 2007-2012 National Tourism Research Program, which included strategic guidelines, institutional redesign and the creation of a National Research Fund. Teresa also spent five years with the Mexican Tourism Board, where she managed marketing planning and later headed the organization's research efforts. During her tenure, she launched the first co-op advertising program in the US and Canada and pioneered the Mexican Tourism Board's market research program and Marketing Intelligence System.

Arturo Guilbert

Arturo is a Marketing Director of Vantage Mexico, with over 10 years of global experience in the digital media and communications arena. His extensive background provides a broad range of experiences in business development, eMarketing, branding and creative visual strategies. Arturo has acted as a marketing communications consultant with European, Canadian, Mexican and North American companies, directing and designing advertising campaigns and video productions.
Previous to Vantage Arturo has worked with organizations including Scotiabank, Toronto; Burson-Marsteller, Montreal; Marcus Evans, Montreal and Mexico Tourism Board, Mexico City.
Arturo is fluent in English, French and Spanish and has a conversational background in Italian, Portuguese and German. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication-design from “Univ. Aut. Metropolitana, UAM”, Mexico and a Master’s degree in advertising from “Centro Avanzado en Communicacion, CADEC”, Mexico. 
Ben Grimes
Ben Grimes | Senior Programmer

Ben Grimes is the Senior Programmer at Vantage Strategy. While his primary role involves acting as chief architect and programmer for the TravelCom Network, he also assists in acting as technical consultant for strategy projects with clients seeking online development advice and expertise. He has contributed on projects for the Palms Casino Resort, O'Callaghan Annapolis Hotel, and the TravelCom Conference site.

Ben graduated from Capitol College with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Kathryn O'Brian

Kathryn Woodruff leads Vantage Strategy’s Graphic Design Department. Kathryn has lead the creative development for visual communication such as branding, on and offline advertising, identity development, large-scale exhibit design, strategic marketing and sales promotions, and social media design for a broad range of nationally and internationally recognized brands including: Mexico Tourism Board, Isla Cozumel, Orlando CVB, Boston CVB, U.S. Travel Association, Palms Casino Resort, and the Department of Natural Resources.

Kathryn holds a Bachelor in Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design from Salisbury University.



Jeremiah Batucan  | Marketing Consultant

Jeremiah is a marketing consultant for the travel and tourism industry. His primary role involves producing analytics and insights of growing digital trends and providing input for strategy projects. Before moving into his current role, Jeremiah worked as a research analyst with Vantage research team. He worked on research projects for GBTA, Indianapolis CVB, New Jersey CVB, MPI, along with several smaller CVBs and DMOs on the county and regional level along the East Coast. He has contributed on projects for the Mexico Tourism Board, Visit Orlando, and the upcoming Ataway Conference.

Jeremiah graduated from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith Business School with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.
